Executive & Technical Duties •Managing different project quantities related to the implementation of the project such as, materials, equipment and resources •Preparing quantity schedules and bills of materials, labor and services required in the construction and building equipment and engineering activities to translate the drawing, plans and specifications produced by the design team to enable the Tendering Department to determine tender prices fairly •Forecasting project quantities and ensuring that construction costs are managed as efficiently as possible •Performing quantities analysis; preparing and analyzing costing for tenders to assist in anticipating project costs. •Preparing quantities and estimates for projects resources and ensuring the adherence to building legislation, health and safety laws and contractual obligations •Participating in the beginning of the procurement process and negotiating to ensure the set budget is not exceeded •Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities; identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks •Performing cost planning in order to assist all members of the design team arrive at practical solutions and stay within the project budget •Preparing schedules of quantities translating the drawing, plans and specifications produced by the design team to enable each contractor to calculate tender prices fairly •Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs for projects in addition to negotiating and prepare bids for tenders and contracts |
